Fall Arrest

According to OSHA a personal fall arrest system refers to a system that can arrest a person during a fall and prevent them from reaching a lower level. It consists of an anchor point, connectors, full body harness and often includes a lanyard, deceleration device, lifeline, or a suitable combination. These systems must be capable of withstanding the tremendous force applied when stopping a fall. Anchor points for such systems require a load rating of at least 5000lbs per employee unless certified by an engineer.
